Recycled Steel

Here at U.S. Buildings, we are conscientious about environmental protection. That’s why we choose steel for the primary material in all of our buildings. Steel is not only a sturdy material; it is an environmentally friendly alternative to many other metals. As of today, two thirds of steel is composed of recycled material. The only reason steel is still being mined today, is because recycled steel cannot keep up with the demand.

Using recycled steel is a great way to help out the environment. Energy consumption is reduced drastically, the amount of earth being destroyed is minimized, less greenhouse gasses are being introduced into the environment, and a large amount of water is being saved when recycling steel.
Landfills are a huge problem in the world right now. Our trash is just piling up and seeping into our groundwater. Recycling steel also helps to reduce the amount of trash building up in landfills.

Steel is a very strong material. Using steel for building and structures ensures durability and structural stability. The great thing about steel is that it can be recycled over and over again without losing it’s strength. Because it does not lose any of it’s natural properties, steel is a great candidate for recycling.

It is also a material that is very easy to recycle. Unlike most other materials, steel does not need to be sorted. A magnet is readily used in sorting situations and takes out all of the complications.

The main goal is to provide our customers with a strong, sturdy and functional steel structure. It is just a benefit that we have an environmentally conscious mindset. Because we use recycled steel for our structures, we can guarantee a safer environmental footprint.
